Warm a Heart, Warm a Home...
This Valentines Day as you think about your special someone, remember the importance of loving a neighbor. We can all come together by donating just $10.00 between Feb. 14th and March 14th and raise $30,000 in 30 days, toward heating assistance for a neighbor. Lets keep Transylvania warm lets winter!

We Need Your Help!
The temperatures keep dropping as we get closer to winter. We really need the community's help! We need WARM blankets, firewood, and monetary support for our heating programs. Please see our Donate Page to help with our winter campaign.
Volunteers Needed!
Join us for a tour!
Come in and take a tour. Every Tuesday from 12:00 pm -12:30 pm, Angela Leopard, Administration Manager at Sharing House, welcomes you to join her for a tour of the facility and all that we have to offer to each individual volunteer. Please come join us.
1 day a week, 4 days a month, 3 hours a shift....Share your love with a neighbor, become a volunteer!
Volunteer Opportunities
Direct Client Service Volunteer Positions
Food Pantry:
Pantry volunteers weigh incoming donations, stock the pantry shelves, fill food orders and also can help with inventory.
Clothing Closet:
Sorting donated clothing and assisting people with clothing selection.
Receptionist:
Greeting people, answering the phone, making appointments, and filing. Front line of all clients concerns so can get very busy at times.
Interviewers:
Counseling people and meeting people's immediate needs.
Behind the Scenes Volunteering
Database and Office Support Workers:
Providing clerical support, preparing mailings, and entering data into computer system.
Committee Workers:
Lending talents and experience to the Human Resources, Church and Community Relations, Development, or Property.
Board of Directors:
Lending talents and experience to the Board of Directors by becoming a member.
Maintenance Workers:
Most often join the property committee to help provided basic facility and property care.
Other Opportunities:
Cutting and cultivating firewood, cleaning toys, emptying drop box, seasonal help with Adopt a Family, back to school and any other special project.
