Financial Literacy & Money Management
After stabilizing individuals & families through crisis assistance, TCM - Sharing House attempts to assist these persons in acquiring financial literacy & money management skills that will have a long-term effect in helping them stay out of the reoccurring crisis situations & develop a greater level self-sufficiency. TCM - Sharing House gives client referrals to other local non-profit agencies that assist with practical financial management advise.

Koinonia Decent Furniture
Creating a warm, safe environment to call home is a basic need for everyone. Whether it’s a victim of domestic violence starting over in a new apartment, or a family welcoming another member into their home, the need for used furniture, appliances & household goods exists for low-income families. Koinonia is a cooperative effort of 11 local churches that support TCM - Sharing House in supplying the funding for household furniture. Clients are issued vouchers to shop for needed furniture items in local thrift stores, which in turn support other Transylvania County non-profit organizations.

Back-to-School Supplies
It is often be a great hardship for low-income working families with children to purchase all of the school supplies required by the various elementary, middle, & high schools in the Transylvania County area. It can often cost over $50 per child just to purchase all the required school supplies. TCM - Sharing House assists these low-income working families by raising the necessary finances through donations from generous individuals, families, churches, businesses, & organizations.
