
Fund Development Director— A New Position as we GROW!
What You’ll Do
As the Fund Development Director at Sharing House, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring the sustainability and growth of our mission through ethical, community-centered fundraising.
The Fund Development Director ensures that the resources needed to carry out Sharing House’s mission are cultivated with integrity and intention. At its core, the Fund Development Director helps transform compassion into action by connecting people’s desire to give with meaningful opportunities to create lasting change in our community.
Through strategic fundraising, grant development, donor cultivation, and community partnerships, the Fund Development Director builds and sustains the financial foundation that enables Sharing House to serve our neighbors with dignity and compassion. This role strengthens the long-term impact of our work by aligning fundraising strategies with organizational values, programs, and storytelling.
In close collaboration with the Executive Director and senior leadership, the Fund Development Director helps shape and implement a comprehensive development plan that supports operational needs, special initiatives, and future growth.
What You’ll Bring
Alignment with Sharing House’s mission and values, including its Neighbor-choice model that centers the inherent dignity and discernment of all served, is essential for success in this role. You will need to embrace a compassionate, heart-centered approach to serving Neighbors and actively support anti-racism, social justice, and advocacy efforts.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or related field is required.
We’re looking for someone with:
3+ years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, and/or grant writing
Proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns and donor engagement
Excellent writing, public speaking, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in donor management software and digital fundraising tools
Knowledge of ethical fundraising principles and best practices
Experience developing multi-year fundraising plans aligned with strategic goals and annual budget needs, and ensuring its effective implementation and ongoing evaluation to meet revenue targets.

Salary Range
70-75K /annual plus benefits.
