
Senior Director of People & Strategy — A New Position as we GROW!
What You’ll Do
As the Senior Director of People and Strategy at Sharing House, you’ll help make Sharing House an exceptional place to work by supporting our team, strengthening our systems, and making sure everything runs smoothly so we can stay focused on our mission.
In this new position, you’ll focus on cultivating a thriving workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute to the organization’s mission. By integrating people strategies with excellence, you’ll ensure that our 11-member team has the resources, development opportunities, and organizational culture needed to succeed.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you’ll be working closely with the Executive Director and Senior Director of Finance to align organizational operations and people strategies with the mission and vision of Sharing House. To do this, you’ll oversee the organization’s day-to-day work-flow, including staffing, strategic planning, management, while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture. Additionally, you’ll directly supervise 4 directors who supervise their own teams (6 employees and 250 volunteers).
Through proactive leadership and a partnership-driven approach with senior leadership, you’ll play an important part in ensuring Sharing House operates with integrity, innovation, and compassion to fulfill its mission.
What You’ll Bring
Alignment with Sharing House’s mission and values, including its Neighbor-choice model that centers the inherent dignity and discernment of all served, is essential for success in this role. You will need to embrace a compassionate, heart-centered approach to serving Neighbors and actively support anti-racism, social justice, and advocacy efforts.
A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as human resources, business, organizational management, nonprofit management, or a related field is required.
We’re looking for someone who is:
• A passionate, mission-driven leader with at least 5 years of leadership experience managing people, creating positive work environments and crafting budgets in nonprofit or values-based settings.
· Expertise in HR (recruitment, retention, performance management, staff development and engagement), compliance, and systems thinking in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
• Committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and trauma-informed workplace culture where staff feel supported, heard, and empowered.
• Strong financial acumen and experience overseeing six-figure budgets, vendor contracts, and operational resources.
• A collaborative communicator and thought partner who brings emotional intelligence, integrity, and a big-picture mindset to everyday leadership.
• Proficient with technology and data-informed decision-making, with a drive to continuously improve systems and processes for greater impact.
We’ll train you in Trauma Informed Resilient Training.
Salary Range
75-80K /annual plus benefits.
